CURRICULUM FOR B.Ed. COURSE
1- Theory- B.Ed. course consists of six compulsory Theory papers:-
1-Teacher in emerging Indian society
2-Development of learner and Teaching learning process
3-Development of Educational system in India
4-Essentials of Educational Technology and Management
Besides these four papers, paper V and paper VI are to be selected for theory as well as for practice teaching–
Teaching of science
Teaching of Maths
2- Teaching- Teaching is most important part of the curriculum. Forty lessons (Twenty in one teaching subject) are compulsory. Teaching includes practice teaching, Microteaching and Simulated teaching.
3-Practical Work- It consists of psychology test, project work, Yoga, First aid and women oriented different programmes.
4- Co-Curricular Activities- It is the part to enhance the qualities of would be teachers and consists of debate, Mehendi ,Rangoli, Salad decoration, Cultural activities, Quizes and Sports.
According to the University guidelines 75% attendance is mandatory for the students. There is a provision of no leave during the teaching part and other activities .
The hostel is situated at 29, E.C. Road, Dehradun. Hostel facility can be availed of on the basis of first come first serve.
A rich library is maintained in the Institution under the supervision of librarian. A facility of reading and research is available in the reading room of the library.
